My mother instilled in me that getting an education was always the best way to get out of any situation. I don’t disagree, however, I truly believe in lifelong education. You don’t have to go to college to educated. There are tons of books that can help you along your journey. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an advocate for adult learning (so much so I have a Masters Degree in it) but there are several ways to learn and grow.
